Our rafts are rigged with oars for some trips, with your guide doing the
rowing, or paddle rafts for other trips where our guests paddle with a
guide calling the shots. We float on average from 4 to 6 hours a day,
allowing for plenty of time for fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing,
photography and relaxing in camp. And again, though we have the best
laid plans we can never really know what adventure each day might bring.
For this reason we like to stay open to daily schedule changes to take
advantage of any surprises or opportunities unforeseen. When rafting in Alaska, the wilderness
dictates!

WHAT TO EXPECT ON OUR RIVER TRIPS
Many facets make up the fabric of an extended river trip in Alaska. The
white water, wildlife viewing, the surrounding scenery, the camp life,
our travel companions and the weather, to name a few, all combine to
form the magic of a river expedition. We, as your outfitter and guides,
focus on the things we can control, like preparing hearty and wholesome
meals, using quality equipment, always taking appropriate safety
precautions, making sound decisions and having the good judgment that
comes from experience.
The rest, quite frankly, is up to mother nature...thus the makings of an
adventure!

Our boats are state of the art 16' and 14' self-bailing rafts. We carry
up to three passengers per boat along with all the expeditions gear,
food and equipment. Camp is made each evening along the river with gear
we have carried with us, no permanent facilities are used and we leave
not a trace behind other than our footprints. Wonderfully, a raft has the
capacity to haul fresh foods and other goodies not normally associated
with traveling in remote wilderness.
