NATURAL
HISTORY
Certainly one of the major reasons to venture into the wilds of Alaska is to explore
and discover the natural history. We think it is an important aspect of our expeditions.
We are well versed in this area and always willing to share our knowledge of Alaska’s
flora and fauna. We encourage everyone to partake in the fun of exploring the
natural history along the river.
RIVER SAFETY
Our experience over the years has heightened our emphasis on safety. We are intimately
aware that rafting in Alaska, especially in the most remote areas of this vast state demands serious consideration.
Our experience, training and preparedness are important factors in your safety.
We are trained in CPR, Swift Water Rescue and emergency medicine. Every safety
measure and precaution has been taken to ensure the least likelihood of mishap.
Our equipment and safety gear are state of the art. Wet suits and booties are
provided for whitewater stretches. All our expeditions consist of at least two
boats, and our guest-to-guide ratio is never more than 3 to 1.

FOOD & DRINK
Here is where Alaska rafting is unsurpassed as a means of wilderness travel. You can
access some of the wildest country imaginable and still have your glass of cabernet
and cracker with brie before dinner. Let’s face it, good food is an important
part of any vacation and why should a raft expedition be any exception? We can
haul it and we do. We'll serve delicious, well balanced meals with fresh foods,
prepared each day in camp, cooked over the fire and baked in our Dutch ovens.
Fresh breads, cakes and cookies are standard fare. Guides do all the cooking but
guests are more than welcome to pitch in. Vegetarians and other special diets
can always be accommodated.
